From our beginnings as a respected carpet cleaning service in the Seattle area a decade ago, Fischer Restoration has grown into a residential and commercial water damage mitigation company specializing in water damage restoration, sewer damage restoration, drywall repair and crawlspace cleanup.

Local Family Business

As part of the Fischer Plumbing family, we share a culture of teamwork and high quality and reputation standards that previous customers already know when they call us. Fischer Plumbing started in Ballard in 1977 and has grown to be one of the largest plumbing companies in Seattle through its reputation with past customers and the focus on high quality service missing from most people in our industry.  We now boast over 100,000 previous customers, 30 trucks and over 3 decades of consumer confidence and referrals.  

Fischer Restoration has taken all of the quality standards and pursued successfully a model of workmanship and customer service that has allowed us to grow and expand from 1 truck to 8 vehicles since we started in 2006.

Independent non franchise makes for much better results

Most people in our line of business are national chains that, like fast food restaurants, have a low quality/low cost business model that allows them to get work from insurance companies who focus primarily on low cost service at the expense of other factors.  This works when home owners are unaware of their options and call the insurance company for a recommended service provider, but what many people don’t know is that they can choose their own contractor and the insurance company will still pay for the service.  Because we are not on preferred provider programs we are not under the threat of losing that status, and can focus on our customers; the clients who hire us.

Fischer Restoration is not a national chain and we only exist because of our reputation, because people keep calling us back.  Franchise restoration contractors work for insurance companies and primarily consider them as their customers.  Because of this, the clients having the work done are not the most important person in the situation.  This conflict of interest is not understood by most home owners and results in both poor work and upset homeowners.  The incentive then of Fischer Restoration lines up directly with the interests of our customers and this freedom to care about the needs of our customers is why we enjoy such a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Internal Quality

We employ well-trained, courteous technicians who have the highest level of respect for clients and their homes.  We work day in and day out inside people’s homes a very private space and the most personal place people have, and so we carefully focus on hiring people that know and can appreciate the importance of respect and sensitivity every time they show up to work.  Basically our employees are perfect (ok almost perfect)…
